Lee Areum, a former T-ARA member, is facing a dramatic turn of events as she’s now accused of the same allegations she previously made against her ex-husband.

She’s been accused of child abuse and has been sent to the prosecution. That’s not all, her mother is also facing charges of kidnapping and luring a minor.

According to the recent Dispatch report on June 3, they’ve been accused of multiple charges, including child abuse, neglect, and kidnapping. The authorities have issued a restraining order that bars them from contacting their own children until July 21.

Areum tied the knot with a wealthy businessman in 2019 and had two kids with him. Things took a sour turn when she announced in December that she was divorcing him and filed a police report, alleging that he had abused their children.

However, the police investigation didn’t find enough evidence to support her claims, and he was cleared of any wrongdoing on May 8.

In a surprising twist, the tables turned, and Lee Areum herself became the suspect in a child abuse case. The police found inconsistencies in the child’s statement and physical evidence that didn’t match up with the allegations. Now, she’s been referred to the prosecution for further investigation.

Shortly after announcing the divorce, she shared her plans to tie the knot again with her current boyfriend. Later they were accused of scamming fans and acquaintances out of a whopping 40 million won.

She initially blamed a hacker, but after her split with her boyfriend, she claimed he was the mastermind behind the scheme and even accused him of physical assault and threats.

Lastly, she’s also facing allegations of drug use, which she vehemently denies.
