Actress Hyeri may soon return to our screens in a new romantic healing drama. According to her agency, Sublime Artist, the former Girl’s Day member is currently reviewing an offer to star in Chair Time (working title).

On May 20, the label confirmed to Daily Sports, stating, “It’s one of the projects we’re considering after receiving an offer to appear.”

Chair Time tells the story of Lee In Young, a talented dental hygienist and consultant known for turning around struggling clinics. After hitting rock bottom, the successful but disillusioned corporate executive loses her passion for life. Her world changes when she meets Jo Chi Soo, an unconventional dentist with a unique perspective on life. As their paths cross, the two begin healing each other’s wounds and rediscovering love.

The director, writer, and male lead of the actor have not yet been revealed.

Hyeri recently starred in the teen mystery drama Friendly Rivalry with Chung Su Bin. She played Yoo Je Yi, the wealthy top student at an elite girls’ school, opposite Chung’s character Woo Seul Gi, a struggling transfer student. The GL-themed series explored their complex relationship amid intense academic pressure and class differences.  This marked her first teen thriller and LGBTQ+ role, showing her range beyond romantic comedies.

The 30-year-old actress received critical acclaim for her daring role in the drama and her exceptional acting chops.

She debuted in the entertainment industry as a member of the K-pop girl group Girl’s Day in 2010 before shifting her focus to acting. Her notable acting credits include My Roommate Is a Gumiho, Moonshine, May I Help You, Reply 1988, Victory, and more.

To celebrate 15 years in the industry, Lee Hyeri embarks on a fan meeting tour, starting on June 7 in Seoul. She will tour Osaka, Tokyo, Macau, Taipei, Ho Chi Minh, Manila, Bangkok, and more.
