FTISLAND drummer Choi Minhwan has been cleared of charges related to prostitution and sexual assault.

According to a recent court ruling, the 32-year-old K-pop idol was found not guilty of the allegations brought against him by his ex-wife Yulhee.

The Gangnam Police Department in Seoul revealed on November 29 that Choi Minhwan’s case, involving allegations of prostitution and sexual assault, has been dropped due to a lack of evidence.

As a result of serious allegations made by his ex-wife, Choi stepped back from activities with FTISLAND. He also departed from the KBS2 variety show “Return of Superman” where he appeared with his kids.

Now that he is cleared of all charges, attention is focused on whether or not he will resume group activities.

Last month, Yulhee posted a bombshell video on her channel sharing a disturbing incident where Choi Minhwan allegedly touched her inappropriately in front of her family. She played an audio recording where he was apparently heard talking to an entertainment establishment employee, asking for a ‘girl.’

After Yulhee’s allegations, a complaint was filed through the National Petition, and the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul investigated the claims.

The former couple parted ways for good and announced their divorce on December 4, 2023. At the time, it was agreed that Choi Minhwan would take custody of their three kids. Earlier this month, Yulhee filed an application with the Seoul Family Court to revise the terms of divorce agreement and seek custody, asset division, and alimony from Minhwan.
