In a recent statement, K-pop superstar G-DRAGON has vehemently denied the drug use allegations surrounding his name. The artist expressed his strong stance against the accusations and reassured fans that he would actively cooperate with the ongoing investigations.
On October 5, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency booked BIGBANG’s G-DRAGON on drug-related charges. While the Police couldn’t share details as the case is under investigation, they confirmed it’s unrelated to Lee Sun Kyun’s case.
On the morning of the 27th, G-Dragon’s lawyer, Kim Soo-hyun, spoke on his behalf, addressing the unfounded news circulating in the media.
The K-pop artist denied the allegation saying, ‘This is Kwon Ji-Yong (G-DRAGON). First of all, I have never taken drugs. I also want to state that I have nothing to do with the news reports about violations of the ‘Narcotics Control Act’ that was recently released to the media.’
He continued, ‘I know that many people are concerned, so I will actively cooperate with the investigation and work more diligently.’
Currently, Lee Sun-Kyun is being investigated on suspicion of drug use. There were rumors that LE SSERAFIM’s Kim Chaewon was also involved in the drug, however, Source Music, quickly addressed the allegations.
