Since her announcement as the female lead for “Typhoon Company”, fans have been pretty excited to see Geum Sae Rok alongside Lee Junho.

Much to the fans’ disappointment, Geum Sae Rok has dropped out of the new tvN drama “Typhoon Company”, which is set to star Lee Junho. The production team is now on the hunt for a new female lead to star alongside the 2PM member.

Star News reported exclusively on January 6 that Geum Sae Rok is officially no longer part of the new tvN drama ‘Typhoon Company’. According to the report, the “Iron Family” actress has withdrawn from the drama due to scheduling conflicts.

“Typhoon Company” is a heartwarming drama that tells the story of a young CEO’s journey to save his family’s small business, which was founded by his father, amidst the challenges of the IMF crisis. The drama was set to star Lee Junho and Geum Sae Rok, with direction by Lee Na Jeong and a script by Jang Hyun Sook.

CJ ENM unveiled its 2025 tvN drama lineup in December, confirming “Typhoon Company” was in the works. The company noted that Lee Junho (“King the Land” and “The Red Sleeve”, and Geum Sae Rok (“The Interest of Love” and “Soundtrack 2”, would star. Filming was set to commence in January.

In other news, Geum Sae Rok is currently starring in the KBS 2TV drama “Iron Family” and Lee Junho will appear in Netfllix’s “Cashero”.
