(G)I-DLE Under Fire for Snubbing Fans on 6th Debut Anniversary, Refund Demanded For Paid Communication Platform Fees

(G)I-DLE is facing a backlash from their fans after seemingly ignoring them on their 6th debut anniversary. Fans who paid for fan communication platforms to stay connected with the members are now demanding a refund.

The group celebrated their 6th anniversary on May 2.  On this special occasion, the (G)I-DLE members marked their 6th anniversary by sharing celebratory messages and expressing gratitude to their fans via their individual social media accounts.

The main reason for their disappointment is the members’ inactivity on the paid fan communication platforms. Fans have applied and patiently waited to engage with the members on the paid service.

However, their frustration with the members’ negligent behavior reached its peak when no responses were received, even on the day of their debut.

None of the (G)I-DLE members made an appearance on Bubble or Weverse to chat with fans.

A few fans observed that Soyeon, the group’s leader, engaged with fans on the paid service only 23 times in a year. This situation has left fans feeling like the subscription they pay for fan communication platforms is a complete waste.

On the other hand, some fans are also expressing disappointment about how the genuine efforts made by members who are typically active in personal communication are being misinterpreted and distorted in the current situation.

Since kicking off their music career on May 2, 2018, (G)I-DLE organized into a five-member group in 2022 and continued to dominate on the music scene.
