(G)I-DLE’s Soyeon broke down in tears at the Seoul concert as she apologized for missing her grandmother’s funeral.
(G)I-DLE kicked off their third world tour ‘iDOL’ with two-day concerts at KSPO Dome on August 3-4.
During the ending ment on the final day (August 4), Soyeon shared, “My grandmother’s funeral was this morning, but I could not attend the funeral properly. I always wanted to be a devoted daughter, but I couldn’t be good to my grandmother because I was busy with work.”
She continued, “I am sorry I couldn’t take good care of my mom and dad this time too. From now on, I will be an elder daughter who works hard and takes good care of her family.”
On August 5, she shared a childhood video of her with her grandmother on her Instagram story, “My first friend, my grandmother. I am sorry I said she was my best friend but couldn’t be by your side until the end using the excuse of being busy.”
On the work front, after Seoul, (G)I-DLE will tour Hong Kong, Tokyo, Tacoma, Auckland, Anaheim, Houston, Rosemont, Belmont Park, Taipei, Bangkok, Macau, Melbourne, and Sydney.
