Girls’ Generation member and actress Seohyun has officially ended her contract with Namoo Actors, the agency confirmed Thursday (April 24). The 33-year-old singer and accomplished actress has been with the company since March 2019, during which she starred in notable projects including the Netflix film “Love and Leashes” and JTBC’s “Private Lives.”
On April 24, Namoo Actors released an official statement announcing her departure. The statement reads,
After careful discussions with actress Seohyun, we have decided to terminate our management contract.”
We express our sincere gratitude to Seohyun, who has grown beautifully as an actress based on mutual trust. We also deeply thank the fans for their unwavering love and warm support for Seohyun. We will continue to sincerely support Seohyun’s activities in the future.

The Girls’ Generation member parted ways with her longtime agency, SM Entertainment, in October 2017. She went on to sign with acting agency Sublime Artist Agency for advertising contracts from 2017 to 2018. Seohyun partnered with Namoo Actors in March 2019 and renewed her contract in April 2022.
She has been increasingly focused on her acting career in recent years, with multiple exciting projects in the pipeline. Seohyun is currently engaged in the promotional activities for her upcoming film “Holy Night: Demon Hunters” with Ma Dong Seok, hitting theaters on April 30. She will also share the lead role with 2PM’s Ok Taecyeon in upcoming historical drama “The First Night with the Duke”, premiering on June 11.
