Park Bo Gum sheds his charming image for a rugged new role in JTBC’s upcoming drama Good Boy

The 31-year-old actor looks unrecognizable in new Good Boy stills released by JTBC on August 6.

The newly unveiled stills from Good Boy show Park Bo Gum in action, exchanging blows with his opponent in the boxing ring. Despite sporting a battered face, he’s seen flashing a beaming smile, proudly holding up his gold medal.

It is nearly 4 years since the Reply 1988 actor was last seen on TV screens, therefore, fans are excited for his appearance in the drama.

Good Boy boasts a talented cast with Park Bo Gum, Kim So Hyun, Oh Jung Se, Lee Sang Yi, Tae Won Seock, and Heo Sung Tae.

Good Boy tells the story of two Olympic gold medalists who leave their sports careers behind to become police officers. Yoon Dong Joo (Park Bo Gum), a former Olympic boxing champion, faces personal struggles but finds a new path as a police officer. 

Ji Han Na (Kim So Hyun), an Olympic shooting gold medalist and public darling, quits her sport after a shocking incident and joins the police force. Together, they use their unique skills to fight against injustice and immorality in a world filled with corruption and wrongdoing.

Good Boy is confirmed to be released in the second half of 2024.
