GOT7’s BamBam Ends Exclusive Contract with Abyss Company

BamBam for GOT7's 13th mini-album WINTER HEPTAGON

BamBam, who has been managing entertainment activities with Abyss Company until now, will be on the lookout for a new agency.

The GOT7 member decided to not continue his journey with the label after the exclusive contract expired.

On February 6, Abyss Company announced, “BamBam’s exclusive contract has ended. After a long conversation with BamBam and careful discussion, we agreed to terminate the contract.”

The agency expressed gratitude, saying, “We sincerely thank BamBam for being with us and will support his new challenges and endeavors. We ask for your continued love and interest in the future.”

The 27-year-old Thai K-pop star has been actively pursuing various endeavors since his debut in 2014. When GOT7 parted ways with JYP Entertainment in 2021, members signed with separate agencies.

In 2021, he signed with Abyss Company and began his solo career with the release of his debut mini-album “riBBon”. Then, BamBam went on to release the regular album “Sour & Sweet” and the mini-album “BAMESIS”.

Last year, he repeatedly shared cryptic messages on Instagram, hinting at his poor mental health due to a packed schedule. Fans were also enraged and urged the label to give him ample rest.

Recently, GOT7 reunited and resumed activities with the release of their comeback album “WINTER HEPTAGON” last month. Since the group is no longer affiliated with JYP Entertainment, the album was released in collaboration with Kakao Entertainment

On another note, BamBam stepped down as the host of his YouTube show “Bam House”, Natty from KISS OF LIFE will be the new host. In addition, he will perform at K-Star Spark in Bangkok, Thailand on February 22.
