Heavy Snow, the LGBTQ movie starring Han Sohee and Han Hae In has officially announced its upcoming release in the latter part of this year within the country.
On April 9, Pan Cinema, the distributor, announced Heavy Snow’s domestic release in the latter half of this year.
Heavy Snow narrates the tale of Seol Yi, a former child star portrayed by Han Sohee, and Su An, an aspiring actress played by Han Hae In.
The two characters meet at an arts high school in Gangneung, where they develop a bond of friendship and love, supporting each other through ups and downs, parting ways, and eventually reuniting.
Heavy Snow, picked for the Korean competition category at the Jeonju International Film Festival last year and selling out in a minute, is now creating buzz with official invites to the London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival, the Hamburg Film Festival, and the Rome Asian Film Festival organized by the British Film Institute (BFI).
In the movie, Han Hae In portrayed Suan, an aspiring actor facing an uncertain future, puzzled by her relationship with Seol Yi, who entered her life like a heavy snowfall.
Additionally, Han Sohee, making her screen debut in ‘Snowfall’, will present a new side as Seol Yi, a former child star developing special feelings for Su An, who brings warmth to her cold, colorless life.
Heavy Snow was helmed and penned by director Yoon Su Ik, capturing a dreamy essence that delves into the blurry line between fantasy and reality.
