Here’s Why KISS OF LIFE Won’t Perform at KCON LA 2025

The KCON LA 2025 lineup has undergone a change as rising girl group KISS OF LIFE will no longer be performing at the event.  

On May 16 (KST), the officials from KCON LA released an official statement to address their participation in the biggest international K-pop music event.

Dear KCONers,

Thank you for your continued interest and support for KCON LA 2025.

Regrettably, after careful consideration and thorough discussions exploring all avenues for participation, KCON and S2 Entertainment have mutually decided that KISS OF LIFE will no longer be participating in KCON LA 2025.

We sincerely apologize to the fans who were looking forward to their performance, and we kindly ask for your understanding.

We will do our best to bring you even more special and memorable experiences in the months ahead.

Why is KISS OF LIFE Not Performing?

While no specific reason was given for the sudden withdrawal, the statement mentions that both KCON and S2 Entertainment (KISS OF LIFE’s agency) reached a mutual agreement after discussions. Possible factors could include scheduling conflicts with the group’s other commitments. 

The group was recently embroiled in a controversy for mocking black culture. Last month, KISS OF LIFE dressed as black hip-hop artists for member Julie’s birthday live broadcast and mimicked the speech patterns of African-American artists.
