Hoshi Makes an Unexpected Cameo in SEVENTEEN Vocal Unit’s ‘Cheers to Youth’ MV

Cheers to Youth MV Stills featuring Woozi and hoshi

SEVENTEEN’s performance unit leader Hoshi surprised everyone with his unexpected cameo in Cheers to Youth MV, released on May 23 at midnight.

After dropping 17 IS RIGHT HERE and the title track MAESTRO, the group unveiled unit tracks starting with the hip-hop unit’s release of LALALI, followed by the performance unit’s Spell, and concluding with the vocal unit’s Cheers to Youth.

There was a lot of hype surrounding the Cheers to Youth after Woozi revealed that the lyrics were inspired by Hoshi at their FOLLOW AGAIN Seoul concert.

Towards the end of the MV, all members of the vocal unit DK, Woozi, Joshua, and Seungkwan gather along with a tiger representing Hoshi. The most fun part is that the tiger also does his signature Horanghae pose at the end.

The 27-year-old idol has been dedicated to incorporating the tiger into his personal image for quite some time. He frequently identifies himself as a tiger and playfully uses the term “Horanghae,” a clever twist on the Korean expression “saranghae,” which means “I love you.”

The song starts with Woozi singing a verse that was inspired by Hoshi, “It just so happens that it’s our first time living today.”

Lastly, SEVENTEEN released a compilation album last month which included tracks from their previous albums and four new songs.
