Fans of light-hearted Korean romances have a new series to look forward to with “Dream to You.” It is a fresh romantic comedy that brings together two beloved actors in their first on-screen pairing. ‘Dream to You’ Release Date and Streaming Details
“Dream to You,” starring Hyeri and Hwang In Youp, is scheduled to premiere on July 13, 2026, on the cable channel ENA. It will air every Monday and Tuesday at 10:00 PM KST, with a total of 12 episodes. In South Korea, episodes will also be available on Genie TV. Although the series will not be available on Netflix and Amazon, global fans can stream it on Viu.
Plot
As teenagers, Woo Soo Bin and Joo Yi Jae shared a big dream of becoming movie directors. They even wrote a script together. But at age 19, Soo Bin suddenly left, chasing his ambitions abroad. Over the years, he worked hard and succeeded, becoming an acclaimed film director whose debut feature swept international festivals.
Now in their thirties, Soo Bin returns to Korea. He wants to reconnect with Yi Jae, the person who inspired him and remained his true dream. Meanwhile, Yi Jae has taken a different path. Life’s challenges led her to set aside her filmmaking aspirations. She now works as a broadcasting reporter. Yi Jae is witty, adaptable, and outwardly cheerful. However, she carries a quiet emptiness inside. Their reunion after 15 years stirs up old feelings and unfinished dreams.

- Hwang In Youp as Woo Soo Bin: A talented film director who returns home after achieving major success overseas. He is determined to win back his first love. Hwang is known for his roles in True Beauty, Family By Choice, and The Sound of Magic.
- Lee Hyeri as Joo Yi Jae: A practical reporter who once dreamed big but is now more guarded after facing reality. The idol-actress rose to fame with My Roommate is a Gumiho and Friendly Rivalry.
- Baek Sung Chul as Shim Yoo Geon: An aspiring actor who still gets nervous on camera. Fans know Baek from Brewing Love, Inspector Koo, and The Witch’s Diner.
- Lee Yul Eum as Oh Ha Na: A rising actress. Her acting credits include Dear X, The 8 Show, and Nevertheless.
Supporting roles include Lee Sang Yeob as Seo In-wook, a film production company CEO, and Park Ji Young as Ahn Soo Hee, Ha Na’s mother.
Dream to You Trailer
The official teaser highlights the pair’s chemistry and shows nostalgic flashbacks with playful adult interactions. It opens with a young Yi Jae encouraging Soo Bin: “Let’s make a film together.”
As an adult, Soo Bin reflects warmly on her influence: “There is a person who gave a dream to an 18-year-old boy who was lost without a dream.”
Their reunion brings flirty tension. Soo Bin boldly asks Yi Jae, “Do you have a boyfriend?” even as she tries to push him away. In one light moment, he says, “I came to see you, right?” She responds, “I didn’t want to see you.” He teases back, “You’re kidding.”
The teaser ends on a touching note as Soo Bin shows her their old script: “I want to make this into a film, but there’s no ending. Let’s do it together.”
