Hyun Bin is returning to the small screen with one of the biggest Korean drama projects ever made. His new series, Made in Korea, is already getting huge attention because of its massive budget and the intense story set in the 1970s.
The show is reported to have a production budget of around 70 billion won, which is about 48 million dollars. It will also be the second time Hyun Bin and Jung Woo Sung share screen, which is another reason fans are excited. Previously, Jung made a cameo in Hyun Bin’s film, “Harbin,” earlier this month.
‘Made in Korea’ Release Date
‘Made in Korea’ starring Hyun Bin and Jung Woo Sung will premiere on December 24, 2025. Disney+ has already shown strong confidence in the project by renewing it for a second season. The second season is scheduled for the second half of 2026. Season 1 will have six episodes.
The first two episodes will drop together on Christmas Eve, and the remaining episodes will be released weekly after that. The show will stream exclusively on Disney+, including the Hulu hub for viewers in the United States.

Made in Korea Trailer
The teaser trailer was first revealed during the “Disney+ Original Preview 2025” event in Hong Kong. The teaser perfectly captures the high-stakes battle between the two powerful men.
The teaser poster features a striking black-and-white silhouette of Hyun Bin. Through his cold narration, he lays out the heart of the story: “This is a fight where someone has to die. And that won’t be me.”
Production Team
The creative team behind ‘Made in Korea’ is just as strong as the cast. The director is Woo Min Ho, who is respected for his political and crime films. His directing credits include “Harbin,” “Inside Men,” “The Drug King,” and more. This marks his first time directing a drama series. His past films often explore power, corruption, and political tension, which makes him a perfect match for this project.
The script is written by Park Eun Gyo and Park Joon Suk. Park Eun Gyo wrote the Netflix series The Silent Sea and the film Mother, while Park Joon Suk wrote the film A Normal Family. The music is composed by Jo Yeong Wook, who has worked on major films directed by Park Chan Wook, including Old Boy and The Handmaiden.
The show is produced by Hive Media Corp, the company behind major box office hits such as 12.12: The Day, The Man Standing Next, and Inside Men.
