iKON member Song Yunhyeong will be temporarily away from the limelight to complete mandatory military service.
Also known as SONG, he has recently announced his military enlistment date via his agency, 143 Entertainment.
On July 24, 143 Entertainment announced the news, stating, “iKON member Song Yunhyeong will be enlisting in the training camp on August 13.” They asked fans for support as he embarks on a new chapter to fulfill national military obligations.
Due to safety reasons, the agency stated that Song Yunhyeong military enlistment would be a private affair, without a separate official event. They aim to prevent any potential safety issues caused by large crowds.
Nothing to be worried about as 143 Entertainment shared that they are exploring ways for Song Yunhyeong to spend quality time with his fans, iKONIC, before his enlistment.
Song Yunhyeong, a 29-year-old member of the K-pop group iKON, is set to begin his mandatory military service on August 13.
Born in February 1995, he will report to the training camp, complete his basic military training, and then serve as an active-duty soldier.
On another note, iKON members Jinhwan, Bobby, and Chanwoo are already serving in the military.
