ILLIT’s Pre-Debut Member Youngseo Reportedly Competed for Spot in Teddy’s New Girl Group MEOVV

ILLIT Pre-Debut Member Youngseo

K-pop rumors are circulating that Youngseo, a pre-debut member of ILLIT, has auditioned for Teddy’s new girl group MEOVV.

Fans were left heartbroken when the 18-year-old trainee announced her departure from the group. A month before the debut in February, BELIFT LAB confirmed that ILLIT would debut as a 5-member group and Youngseo’s contract with the agency was terminated.

She rose to fame after finishing 2nd in the ‘R U Next?’ audition program, becoming a member of the newly formed group ILLIT. However, she unexpectedly left the group, shocking fans and leaving them wondering about her next move.

As per reports and various sources on X, it seems she has not given up on her dream of becoming an idol. After leaving ILLIT, she reportedly became a trainee at THE BLACK LABEL from late June to early July.

Since Annie Moon left Teddy’s New Girl Group MEOVV, there was a spot vacant and 5 girls competed for it.

As per reports, Youngseo did not make the cut and has since left the agency.

On August 16, THE BLACK LABEL launched social media channels and dropped the first teaser for the new group MEOVV. The girl group produced by Teddy is scheduled to debut this year.

The lineup is expected to be introduced in the coming days. While nothing has been officially confirmed, sources suggest that Youngseo threw her hat into the ring for a spot in this highly-anticipated group.
