Im Se Mi and Moon Ga Young, who previously worked in the hit Kdrama True Beauty, are reuniting in a new drama.
Im Se Mi and Kwak Si Yang will star in the new drama Black Salt Dragon aka He’s a Black Dragon.
Im Se Mi takes on the role of Seo Ha Jin, a free-spirited bar owner who forms a strong online gaming friendship with Baek Soo Jung (played by Moon Ga Young), despite their age gap. As she navigates life on her own terms, she encounters the charming Kim Shin-won (Kwak Si Yang).
She has previously proven her acting chops in dramas like Whirlwind, Wonderful World, and The Worst of Evil, About Time, Mr. Sunshine, Only Love, and more.
Kwak Si Yang takes on the role of Kim Shin Won, the compassionate and thoughtful head of the design department at Yongseong Department Store. With a nature that is both gentle and affectionate, Kim Shin Won has a way of making everyone feel seen and cared for. Despite his charming and accommodating demeanor, he has never been able to truly commit to love – until he meets Seo Ha-jin.
Kwak Si Yang has shown his versatility as an actor in different dramas including Flex X Cop, Rookie Cops, Cafe Minamdang, and Fight For My Way.
Moon Ga Young plays Baek Soo Jung, a team leader at Yongseong Department Store, whose new boss Ban Joo Yeon (Choi Hyun Wook) is her former online gaming rival, ‘Black Salt Dragon’. Ban Joo Yeon, who hides his true identity, was rejected by Baek Soo Jung, his first love and online gaming partner, ‘Strawberry’.”
Premiering in 2025, the upcoming tvN drama Black Salt Dragon tells the story of a boss and employee who first met in an online game 16 years ago and reunited in real life, sparking a romantic connection.
Helmed by director Lee Soo Hyun and writer Kim Soo Yeon, the drama is a production of Studio N and Studio Dragon.
