Yuna is ready to take the stage on her own.
JYP Entertainment has confirmed that the ITZY member will release her first solo single, “Ice Cream,” on March 23, 2026. After seven years as the group’s youngest member, Yuna is beginning a new chapter as a solo artist.
Promotional rollout for “Ice Cream” will begin on March 9 with a tracklist, followed by four sets of concept photos and MV teasers, and an album spoiler.
She becomes the second ITZY member to debut solo, following leader Yeji. Yeji launched her solo career in 2025 with her EP “AIR,” which received positive responses both in Korea and overseas.
Now, it’s Yuna’s turn to show her individual color. As fans know, ITZY is known for powerful choreography and a bold “girl crush” image. A solo release allows the 22-year-old K-pop star to explore her own musical style and personality.
According to reports, she has been actively involved in the creative process of “Ice Cream.” She took part in decisions about the song and overall concept.
Born in 2003 in Wonju, her journey to becoming a K-pop star began unexpectedly. In 2015, she attended a year-end music festival with her older sister and was scouted by JYP Entertainment. At the time, she had no plans to become an idol.
Although she was initially considered too young for ITZY’s original debut lineup. After Somi left, she was called by the company to join the final team.
In addition to her music career, Yuna has recently stepped into acting. She made her official drama debut in the tvN series “Undercover Miss Hong,” which premiered in January 2026. In the show, she plays the younger sister of the main character, portrayed by actress Park Shin Hye.
She has also confirmed her appearance in another upcoming tvN drama, “Favorite Employee.”
Meanwhile, Yuna is set to drop “Ice Cream” on March 23 at 6 PM (KST) and will hold a countdown live an hour before the album release.
