IU

IU has made a significant contribution to those in need this holiday season.

The renowned South Korean singer-songwriter is dubbed “Donation Angel” as she has been donating consistently since her debut.

Once again, she is wrapping up the year by making a significant donation to help those in need.

This holiday season, IU is offering a helping hand with a 50 million won support fund, delivered in the form of gift certificates to alleviate financial burdens on struggling families.

Since her debut, the “Love Wins All” singer has consistently donated on her birthdays, debut anniversaries, children’s days, and more special days.

Recently, she celebrated her 16th debut anniversary in September by donating 225 million won to support the underprivileged.

IU’s donations will be used to support incurable diseases, seniors, and vulnerable communities through donations to the Korean Association for Incurable Diseases in Children, Milk Delivery for the Elderly, Hansarang Village, and Hansarang Orphanage.

On the work front, IU will appear alongside Park Bo Gum in the Netflix series “When Life Gives You Tangerines.” In addition, she has signed a new project with popular Kdrama heartthrob Byeon Woo Seok, which will begin filming soon. The “Lovely Runner” actor plays a modern-day prince whereas IU is cast in the role of a daughter from a wealthy conglomerate family.
