J.Y. Park and Bang Si Hyuk at Weverse Con 2024

If there was one artist who truly shined during the Weverse Con Festival 2024, it was definitely J.Y. Park.

The JYP Entertainment founder participated as a tribute artist and shared the stage with several HYBE idols, including his close friend, Bang Si Hyuk.

The tribute stage was arranged to honor singer Park Jin Young (JYP) as he marked her 30th debut anniversary.

He joined forces with TWS, ILLIT, BOYNEXTDOOR, THE NEW SIX, and more artists for exciting collaborations on Day 1, June 15.

June 16, the second and final day, was packed with even more surprises and unexpected collabs.

SEVENTEEN’s Woozi introduced J.Y. Park in his iconic whisper style. When he stepped onto the stage, he amazed the audience with one unexpected collab after another.

He collaborated with Baekho, fromis_9 Jiwon, ENHYPEN’s Jay, Heeseung, TXT’s Beomgyu, ENHYPEN, and last but not least, his bestie and HYBE Chairman, Bang Si Hyuk.

The audience was amazed as Bang Si Hyuk suddenly appeared on stage, his guitar work beautifully complementing J.Y. Park’s soulful voice on the classic hit I Have a Girlfriend.

At this year’s Weverse Con Festival, HYBE groups like SEVENTEEN, TXT, LE SSERAFIM, TWS, ILLIT, virtual boy group PLAVE, Japanese band YOASOBI, singer-songwriter imase, actor Lee Sung Kyung, totaling 24 teams, took the stage for two days.

However, due to ongoing internal conflicts related to ADOR’s affiliated label, NewJeans did not perform at Weverse Con 2024.
