Jennie Kim’s Front Row Look at Chanel SS26 Was All About Subtle Glamour

Jennie at Chanel SS26 Show in Paris

Jennie of BLACKPINK once again lived up to her title as the “Human Chanel” with her stunning appearance at the Chanel Spring-Summer 2026 show during Paris Fashion Week. Sitting front row at the highly anticipated debut of the brand’s new creative director, Jennie effortlessly blended her personal effortless style with Chanel’s evolving vision.

The star-studded runway show was attended by her “The Idol” co-star Lily-Rose Depp, Gracie Abrams, Margot Robbie, Nicole Kidman, Tilda Swinton, Penélope Cruz, Jeff Bezos, Lauren Sánchez Bezos, Ayo Edebiri, Vanessa Paradis, and more.

Jennie Stuns in a Chic Coordinated Outfit

On October 6, Jennie arrived at the Grand Palais in Paris in a look that perfectly captured her effortless style. She wore a strapped top with a matching skirt, creating a sleek, coordinated silhouette. To add a pop of color, she carried a lemon-yellow shoulder bag that stood out beautifully against the neutral base of her outfit.

Her hair styled in waves flowed naturally, and her smoky makeup look added just the right amount of drama without overpowering her features. Fans quickly flooded social media with praise, calling her “dead gorgeous,” “the Global IT girl,” and saying that “elegance has never looked this natural.”

Jennie’s Chanel Journey: From Muse to “Human Chanel”

Jennie’s relationship with Chanel goes back to 2017, when she first became a muse for Chanel Beauty. Two years later, she was named a global ambassador—a move that officially cemented her as the “Human Chanel,” a nickname that has followed her ever since. Her effortless ability to interpret Chanel’s identity both on and off the stage has made her one of the brand’s most beloved faces.

Over the years, Jennie has represented Chanel at some of the world’s biggest fashion moments. She made her Met Gala debut in 2023, wearing a stunning archival black-and-white look from the 1990s, and appeared at the Cannes Film Festival in a custom Chanel creation. This year, she turned heads at the Met Gala for the third time in a bespoke Chanel tuxedo gown.

The brand also designed exclusive pieces for her to wear during BLACKPINK’s Born Pink world tour. Through it all, Jennie has managed to keep her style consistent—modern and bold, yet unmistakably Chanel.

Chanel Unveils SS26 Collection Under New Creative Director

This year’s Spring-Summer 2026 show carried special significance as it introduced Matthieu Blazy as Chanel’s new creative director, the fourth person to lead the 115-year-old fashion house. The Grand Palais was transformed into a breathtaking planetarium-like space with glowing orbs and a glossy black floor, reflecting the theme of a “Universe of Chanel.”

Blazy’s debut collection reimagined Chanel’s iconic elements through a modern lens while staying true to its legacy. The show opened with cropped pant suits, jackets inspired by Coco Chanel’s own wardrobe choices. He collaborated with shirtmaker Charvet to create crisp, boxy button-downs detailed with Chanel’s signature metal chains. In a fresh twist, he used viscose to make tweed appear lighter and more dynamic.

The accessories drew attention too—most notably the reworked 2.55 bag, now designed with wire in its flaps so wearers can adjust its shape to create a worn-in, personalized look. Even classic sweater-and-skirt sets were reinterpreted with camellia embroidery for a subtle but playful finish.

Meanwhile, Jennie will continue the ‘Deadline’ tour in Asia with BLACKPINK girls this month, followed by the group album release in November.
