The Price of Confession will be released globally on Netflix starting December 5, 2025, available exclusively on the platform. The 12-episode series stars Jeon Do Yeon and Kim Go Eun in leading roles and is their first on-screen reunion in ten years since the 2015 film Memories of the Sword.
The drama is directed by Lee Jung Hyo (Crash Landing on You, Doona!, and The Good Wife), and the script is written by Kwon Jong Kwan.
Story Overview
The Price of Confession centers on Yoon Soo (Jeon Do Yeon), a woman who has become the main suspect in her husband’s murder. Her calm and composed behavior during the investigation shocks everyone and makes her a prime suspect.
While in prison, she meets Mo Eun (Kim Go Eun), a mysterious and feared inmate often called a “witch.” Mo Eun offers to confess to the murder in Yoon Soo’s place — but her confession comes with a dangerous price.

The series also stars Park Hae Soo as Baek Dong Hoon, a prosecutor who is determined to uncover the truth. Jin Seon Gyu as Jang Jung Gu, Yoon Soo’s lawyer and a former boxer. Both men play key roles in chasing the truth behind the mysterious case.

The tagline “Innocence questioned, Confessions, exchanged” raises questions about what deal they will make and what each must sacrifice for the truth.
The teaser trailer opens with Yoon Soo calling emergency services while holding her bleeding husband. After his death, her calm attitude at the funeral and during questioning adds to the public’s suspicion.
Mo Eun has been watching Yoon Soo closely. Later, she visits her in prison and offers the shocking deal — she will confess in exchange for Yoon Soo’s help. The teaser hints that Yoon Soo agrees to the deal, saying, “In the end, we’ll end up doing this crazy thing.”
