Jeon Somi caught everyone’s eye by highlighting the lively appeal of Korean culture. 

She made a guest appearance on ‘Spirit of Seoul’ broadcasted on CNN on March 23 (local time), where she discussed how Korea’s distinct culture influences her music.

Jeon Somi presented Taekwondo, Korea’s traditional martial art and national sport. With an impressive 4th-degree Taekwondo black belt, Jeon So-mi displayed a nimble demonstration and expressed her admiration for the sport.

The Fast Forward singer shared, “Taekwondo is very important to me, it is my everything, it is who I am, it helped me build my character, and it’s all in my work.”

Following that, she stopped by the recording studio, where the 23-year-old singer shared a sneak peek of her creative collaboration with her producer Vince.

She shared, “Every music that I drop is a part of my diary,” and added, “Everything happens naturally when we’re in the studio, just throwing ideas here and there, just a very creative space.”

Finally, Jeon Somi hung out at a Hanok cafe with her family, enjoying traditional tea, soaking in nature, and relishing Korea’s unique charm. She mentioned that her life in Seoul, where history and modernity blend, fuels her creativity.

Additionally, the K-pop star shared that Korean traditions, cuisine, and special cultural heritage like Taekwondo have shaped her into the person she is today. She proudly presents herself as a global artist who spreads Korea’s ‘cool’ worldwide, driven by her immense pride.
