Reports are buzzing that Ji Chang Wook and Son Ye Jin will lead the remake of “Untold Scandal,” a historical movie that was released in 2003.

As per an exclusive report by YTN on October 24, Netflix is reviving the hit film “Untold Scandal” as a series, with Son Ye Jin and Ji Chang Wook set to star in the lead roles.

“Untold Scandal” (2003), directed by Lee Jae Yong, brings the classic French novel “Dangerous Liaisons” to life in the Joseon Dynasty. 

This provocative tale follows Lady Cho (Lee Mi Suk), Joseon’s most alluring seductress, and infamous womanizer Jo Won (Bae Yong Joon) as they engage in a tantalizing game of love and deception, targeting the virtuous Lady Suk (Jeon Do Yeon).

The 2003 film “Untold Scandal” attracted 3 million moviegoers, despite its R-rating, and won international awards. Now, it is being remade into a series starring Son Ye-jin and Ji Chang-wook, directed by Jung Ji Woo.

His notable directing credits include “Tune in for Love,” “Fourth Place,” “Modern Boy,” “Blossom Again,” and more.

Ji Chang Wook is known for his captivating roles in hits like “Healer”, “Suspicious Partner”, “Backstreet Rookie”, “Worst of Evil,” “Lovestruck in the City,” and more. Son Ye Jin rose to fame with her roles “Crash Landing on You”, “Something in the Rain”, and “Personal Taste.”

The highly anticipated “Untold Scandal” remake starring Son Ye Jin and Ji Chang Wook is set to start production in March 2025.
