Jimin Leaves South Korea for Dior SS26 Show in Paris, His First Post-Military Event

BTS Jimin at the ICN Airport, departing for Paris to attend Dior SS26 Show

BTS member Jimin has officially returned to the public eye, making his first major appearance since completing his military service. On September 30, the singer departed from Incheon International Airport to head to France for Dior’s Women’s Spring-Summer 2026 show at Paris Fashion Week, set for October 1.

Jimin sported the brand’s long-sleeved shirt with the top buttons undone, which sent fans into a frenzy. He completed the look with black pants, a Dior bag, Gentle Monster sunglasses, and a statement necklace.

Jimin’s First Big Schedule After Discharge

This marks Jimin’s first official event since being discharged from the military in June, and fans were eager to catch the moment. His airport departure drew major attention from both local and international media, and supporters lined up to see him before his flight.

Jimin and fellow member Jungkook were discharged on June 11, 2025, officially wrapping up the group’s military commitments. Since then, the members have slowly begun easing back into public life. Jimin and Suga have been the only members maintaining a low profile and rarely seen at public events, unlike the others.

Jungkook recently made an appearance at Calvin Klein’s New York Fashion Week show, while RM attended the Bottega Veneta presentation. V is also expected to step out for his second major Celine event in the coming days. Meanwhile, Suga is likely to head to Paris soon for Valentino’s Spring/Summer 2026 show, where he serves as an ambassador.

One possible reason for Jimin’s quiet presence could be the dating rumors with Song Da Eun. A private video shared by her in August sparked speculation, and HYBE later confirmed that the two had dated in the past but have since parted ways.

Jimin Has a Longstanding Relationship With Dior

Jimin’s role with Dior goes back several years. In January 2023, the French luxury house named him Global Brand Ambassador. Even before the appointment, Jimin was frequently spotted wearing Dior for tours, magazine features, and promotional shoots for songs like Dynamite and Butter.

This is certainly not the first time the “Who” singer will attend Dior’s Paris Fashion Week show. On January 20, 2023 Jimin turned heads at Dior’s Fall 2023 menswear show in Paris, sporting a light gray oversized blazer over a taupe turtleneck and pleated trousers tucked into combat-style boots. His gray-and-white lace-up boots, with rounded toes and chunky soles, added an edgy finish to the look.

In other news, Jimin’s name has also been linked to philanthropy over the years. In 2021, he became a member of the Green Noble Club, recognized for his contributions to education and youth in Busan. Recently, his father and younger brother joined the same group, making them the first trio of father and sons to be recognized together.

Meanwhile, as all seven BTS members have now completed their military service, anticipation is growing for their 2026 comeback and world tour.
