The recent release of script-reading photos featuring leads Jung Hae In and Jung So Min has fans swooning over their undeniable chemistry.
On July 10, tvN revealed photos from a script reading session of the upcoming drama Love Next Door (written by Shin Ha Eun and directed by Yoo Je Won). The swoon-worthy photos featured lead actors Jung Hae In, Jung So Min, Kim Ji Eun, and Yun Ji On.
During the script reading session, the director, Yoo Je Won, writer, Shin Ha Eun, and the entire cast, including the main and supporting actors, brought the story to life with their energetic and heartfelt performances.
The cast of Love Next Door performed their roles as follows:
- Jung Hae In as Choi Seung Hyo, a talented and charming character
- Jung So Min as Bae Seok Ryu, a complex and troubled character seeking a fresh start
- Kim Ji Eun as Jung Mo Eum, a paramedic and close friend
- Yoon Ji On as Kang Dan Ho, a social affairs reporter
- Park Ji Young as Na Mi Sook, Seok Ryu’s mother
- Jo Hyun Chul as Seok Ryu’s father, who runs a snack shop
- Jang Young Nam as Seo Hye Sook, Seung Hyo’s mother
- Lee Seung Jun as Choi Kyung Jong, Seung Hyo’s father and an emergency medicine professor
Love Next Door tells the story of Choi Seung-Hyo, a successful and charming architect, and Bae Seok-Ryu, a former high achiever who’s now unemployed. Their mothers’ friendship led to a childhood filled with shared experiences, but also painful memories they’d rather forget. The two reunite as adults, sparking a complex romance.
Jung Hae In is returning to the romance genre after a long time, therefore, the drama is generating a lot of buzz.
Lastly, Love Next Door is scheduled to premiere on tvN on August 17 at 9:20 PM KST.
