tvN’s upcoming drama Love on a Single Log Bridge has announced its lead cast: Joo Ji Hoon and Jung Yu Mi. The drama, written by Im Ye Jin and directed by Park Joon Hwa, promises a romantic yet contentious relationship between the two leads.
Joo Ji Hoon plays Seok Ji Won, a successful and charming leader who returns to his hometown as the new chairman of his old high school. He has reunited with his longtime rival, Yoon Jiwon, after 18 years apart.
This is Joo Ji Hoon’s first romance drama in a long time, and he is expected to win over viewers with his captivating performance. He last appeared in the romantic drama Princess Hours, which premiered in 2006.
Jung Yu Mi plays Yoon Ji Won, a physical education teacher at a high school. She was once known as the “Mad Dog” of Dokmok High School for her strong sense of justice. When she reunites with her old rival, Seok Ji Won, her fierce personality starts to resurface.
Acclaimed director Park Joon Hwa, known for his work on Alchemy of Souls and What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, is at the helm of Love on a Single Log Bridge. The script is penned by talented writer Lim Ye-jin, who co-wrote the hit dramas The Tale of Nokdu and Love in the Moonlight.
Love on a Single Log Bridge is slated for the second half of 2024.
