JYP Entertainment Bought Land Worth 75.5 Billion Won to Build New Headquarters

JYP Entertainment

JYP Entertainment is gearing up to construct a brand new integrated headquarters in the vibrant Godeok Gangil district of Seoul. This exciting development will serve as a central hub for all of JYP’s operations.

On October 24, JYP revealed that they successfully secured a 10,675㎡ plot of land in block 2 of the Godeok Gangil District distribution and sales facility site. They won the bid from the Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) for a whopping amount of 75.5 billion won.

This significant acquisition marks a major milestone for JYP as they expand their presence and continue to make strides in the entertainment industry.

JYP relocated to its current headquarters in 2018. In the second quarter of this year, JYP achieved impressive consolidated sales of 151.7 billion won, with an operating profit of 45.7 billion won.

However, some have expressed concerns about the size of their office building in comparison to their competitors like HYBE, SM, and YG.

JYP Entertainment released a statement stating that they plan to increase work efficiency and productivity by expanding our integrated office space and physical space.

JYP is a powerhouse in the Korean entertainment industry, home to popular groups like 2PM, TWICE, ITZY, Stray Kids, Day6, NMIXX, and Xdinary Heroes.
