KARDI Takes Home Best MV Award at Liverpool Film Festival

KARDI wins best MV award at the Liverpool Film Festival

KARDI is racking up more international awards at top film festivals overseas.

On January 10th, KARDI made history as the first Korean group to win the coveted Best Music Video award at the Liverpool Film Festival in Liverpool, England, the birthplace of rock. Their captivating official music video for WatchOut wowed audiences and impressed the judges.

KARDI’s WatchOut music video is on a winning streak. They recently took home the Best Rock Music Video Award at the Prague Music Video Awards 2023 Summer Edition and also triumphed at the 35 Girona Film Festival.

These remarkable achievements have solidified their status as a globally recognized K-band, earning them official invitations and meaningful recognition at international awards.

The title track WatchOut from KARDI’s EP Chil is an electrifying EDM song that features an unconventional geomungo sound riff by member Park Daul.

The music video, helmed by director Koo Ja-wook, has been generating buzz since its debut in September 2022, captivating audiences with its striking visual aesthetics and powerful simplicity.

The directing and choreography in KARDI’s music videos are like something out of Being John Malkovich and The Matrix movies. The blending of  stunning visuals, flashy montages, and storytelling combined with KARDI’s music offers a fresh and exciting experience.

The international response to their music video for the song Skybound from their first full-length album Inside Out has been incredible. It’s getting  recognition worldwide like being chosen as an official first work at the Prague Music Video Awards, 35 Girona Film Festival, and even Berlin’s prestigious Around International Film Festival (2023 ARFF Berlin Film Award).
