Karina Reveals aespa Will Take a Two-Week Vacation in January

As 2025 comes to an end, Karina shared a rare personal update that warmed fans’ hearts. During her appearance on Netflix’s travel variety show Getaway and Go with Jangdobari, the aespa leader revealed that the group will finally get a proper break next year.

Karina said aespa is scheduled to have a vacation in January 2026 that will last about two weeks. She shared that she plans to take a family trip within South Korea and hopes to bring her grandmother along, as traveling abroad would be difficult for her.

She also revealed just how limited their time off has been since debut. Since aespa debuted in November 2020, the members have only been able to take three vacations in total.

Her appearance on the show itself was special. She previously mentioned wanting to do a travel program to comedian Jang Do Yeon on another show, which eventually led to this collaboration. Filmed in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, the episode showed Karina’s bright personality.

One of the highlights of the show was when she impressed everyone during an archery challenge despite being a beginner.

The scheduled break comes at a time when the members truly need to recharge. Previously, SM Entertainment came under fire for not giving the girls ample rest as members Winter and Ningning were seen visibly struggling on stage.

aespa has been busy with their large-scale “SYNK: aeXIS LINE” world tour, which runs through late 2025 and continues into 2026 with performances in Asia, including major dome concerts in Japan. The January break falls between packed tour schedules.

Their tour will resume in February with stops in Hong Kong (Feb 7-8), Macau (March 7-8), and Jakarta (April 4).

aespa will also likely make a comeback in early 2026 before the Japan dome tour. Their dome tour begins in Osaka on April 11-12 followed by Tokyo on April 25-26.
