KATSEYE lands first Billboard HOT 100 hit; Lisa and Maroon 5 collab also debuts on the chart

It’s a big week for K-pop fans!

HYBE’s multinational girl group KATSEYE has achieved their first-ever Billboard Hot 100 entry, while Lisa simultaneously enters the chart through her highly anticipated collaboration with Maroon 5. 

While the BLACKPINK rapper has charted multiple releases on the prestigious chart, it is the first time KATSEYE has debuted on the HOT 100.

KATSEYE’s Historic Hot 100 Debut 

The six-member group, formed through HYBE’s “The Debut: Dream Academy” survival show, enters the chart at No. 92 with their new single “Gnarly”.

Released on May 2, the viral song also charted at No. 47 on the Billboard Global 200 chart. With this, KATSEYE has become the third HYBE girl group to chart on the HOT 100, following in the footsteps of NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, and ILLIT.

With “Gnarly” on the Billboard Hot 100, the group has achieved a milestone, becoming the first US-based girl group to chart since Fifth Harmony in 2017 with “Down”.

That’s not all, they also entered the UK Singles Chart (equivalent to Billboard US charts) for the first time with “Gnarly” at No. 52.

Their previous release, “Touch,” became a viral hit on TikTok and social media platforms. While it didn’t make the U.S. charts, it ranked at the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart. It is a weekly chart that highlights songs that are just below the Hot 100.

KATSEYE is now preparing to release their sophomore mini-album, “Beautiful Chaos,” on June 27, 2025.

Lisa Enters the Chart with “Priceless”

Lisa gave a delightful surprise to BLINKs and Lilies by announcing a collab with Maroon 5. She collaborated as a featured artist on “Priceless,” dropped on May 2. This is her 6th HOT 100 hit after entering the chart with

Simultaneously, Lisa appears at No. 76 on the HOT 100 as a featured artist on Maroon 5’s new single “Priceless”. The song also entered other Billboard charts, including Global Excl. US and Global 200 at #23 and #40, respectively.

In addition, her bandmate Rosé has been charting on Billboard HOT 100 for 29 weeks with “APT.” ft. Bruno Mars. The song maintains its position in the top 20, despite being released in October 2024.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK members have begun working on their upcoming comeback after wrapping solo activities.
