KCON 2024 has officially confirmed that it will be held in Hong Kong and CJ ENM revealed this year’s blueprint.
On January 11, CJ ENM just announced that they will be hosting KCON Hong Kong 2024, the ultimate K-culture festival centered around K-pop. It’s going to take place at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong for two incredible days, from March 30th to 31st.
Hong Kong is ranked 6th in K-pop album exports and it’s becoming a significant market for K-pop performances. This is the first time KCON will be held in Hong Kong, expanding its reach to the Greater China region after last year’s focus on Southeast Asia.
AsiaWorld Expo, where KCON Hong Kong 2024 is happening, is the country’s ultimate convention center. It’s got a massive arena that can hold up to 10,000 people, making it perfect for epic performances and conferences. Fun fact: the MAMA Awards took place there from 2013 to 2018.
CJ ENM is bringing the first-ever KCON to Hong Kong with KCON Hong Kong 2024, and they’re going all out with an incredible lineup that focuses on K-pop.
After that, KCON Japan 2024 is coming up next. It’s going to be a three-day extravaganza from May 10th to 12th. This year, they’re taking things to the next level by adding a new venue for large-scale concerts, turning it into a mega K-pop event.
After KCON LA 2024 from July 26th to 28th, CJ ENM has big plans to visit five different regions in the second half of the year. They’re heading to Europe and even Saudi Arabia. By entering the European market, where tours of popular K-pop artists are already happening, they’re going to make the KCON brand even stronger.
