Kep1er’s Youngeun Halts Activities Due to Health Concerns, Sits Out Summer Comeback

Youngeun from Kep1er

Seo Youngeun of Kep1er will be taking a break from group activities because of health issues.

On Monday, July 14, her agency shared that the 20-year-old idol will pause activities for now and won’t join the August comeback.

Her agency stated, “Seo Youngeun has not been in good health recently and has been advised by medical staff to get sufficient rest and relaxation. Therefore, as her recovery is the top priority, we have decided, after discussions with the artist, that she will take a break for the time being.”

Kep1er plans to release a new album in August and launch their Into the Orbit: Kep1asia tour in Seoul on September 21. It will be followed by stops in Fukuoka, Tokyo, Kyoto, and other cities in Japan. Unfortunately, Youngeun will not be joining these promotions.

The agency added that she will rest and regain her strength so she can return to fans healthy and bright. Fans have shared messages of love and encouragement online, wishing her a speedy recovery.

Last year, Kep1er reorganized as a seven-member group after renewing their contract with WAKEONE. Mashiro and Yeseo departed from the group and joined MADEIN under 143 Entertainment. Kep1er also signed an exclusive deal with KLAP Entertainment, which co-manages them with WAKEONE. Fans are now looking forward to their comeback next month.
