A thrilling new fantasy K-drama is on its way to Netflix — and it’s bringing together three of Korea’s most buzzworthy young stars. Former IZ*ONE member Kim Min Ju, Moon Sang-min, and Lomon have all been reported to lead the upcoming series “Beauty in the Beast” (working title).
“Beauty in the Beast” Plot
“Beauty in the Beast” reimagines the classic fairy tale through a dark, contemporary lens. Set in a world where werewolves live secretly among humans, the story follows Ha Min Soo (played by Kim Min Ju), a freshman who also happens to be the most “socialized” werewolf in history.
Despite her calm and polite demeanor, she carries a dangerous secret — on full moon nights, or whenever she is overwhelmed by anger, she transforms into a beast.
Her carefully hidden life starts to unravel when she meets Kwon Hae Joon (Moon Sang Min), a charming and popular senior with a mysterious past, and Lee Do Ha (Lomon), one of the last surviving werewolves who hunts down drug dealers by night.
Between friendship, love, and survival, Ha Min Soo finds herself caught in a dangerous triangle that tests her humanity — and her heart.
The drama is a mix of multiple genres — romance, comedy, thriller, and fantasy — all rolled into one.
Star-Studded Creative Team
The series is directed by Jin Hyeok, the hitmaker known for beloved dramas like Master’s Sun, The Legend of the Blue Sea, City Hunter, and Doctor Stranger. The script is penned by Jin Han Sae, the acclaimed writer of Extracurricular and Glitch.
