Kim Nam Gil has been approached for an exciting role for his next project!

The 44-year-old actor will reportedly be fighting for teachers’ rights in the new drama “True Education” (literal title).

Kim Nam Gil has been tapped to appear in the upcoming drama “True Education”, sources close to the production confirmed to Star News.

The drama will be helmed by director Hong Jong Chan, who directed “Juvenile Justice,” “Link: Eat, Love, Kill,” “Mr. Plankton,” and more.

“True Education” is an action-packed school drama adapted from a popular Naver webtoon. The story revolves around students, parents, and teachers navigating a system where teachers’ rights have been compromised. The drama introduces fearless educators who take a stand to teach misguided children and restore order in the classroom.

Kim Nam Gil plays Na Hwa Jin, a highly capable field supervisor at the Teachers’ Rights Protection Agency. Dubbed the “Grim Reaper,” Na Hwa Jin fearlessly fights for teachers’ rights.

It is worth noting that the webtoon “True Education” faced criticism for its handling of sensitive issues. Many felt it promoted physical punishment in schools, used racial stereotypes, and mishandled feminist themes.

The biggest concern was its portrayal of Black people. As a result, publication was halted temporarily and eventually stopped entirely in North America.

On the work front, Kim Nam Gil returns to screens in the SBS drama “The Fiery Priest 2”, premiering on November 8.
