Kim Seon Ho and Go Youn Jung are finally teaming up in Netflix’s new romantic comedy “Can This Love Be Translated?”, set to premiere on January 16, 2026. Netflix confirmed the date on December 10 and released a teaser poster that immediately grabbed attention.

The poster shows Kim Seon Ho and Go Youn Jung standing back-to-back, each wearing earphones and receivers. The visual hints at their unique connection as an interpreter and a top star.

The drama tells the story of Joo Ho Jin (Kim Seon Ho), a cheerful and talented multilingual interpreter, who suddenly becomes the personal interpreter for Cha Mu Hee (Go Youn Jung), a global superstar. Their personalities—and their views on love—are completely different. As a result, it leads to misunderstandings, tension, and eventually something more.

“Can This Love Be Translated?” is written by the legendary Hong Sisters, the writers behind hit dramas like Hotel del Luna and Alchemy of Souls. The series is directed by Yoo Young Eun, known for her stylish visuals in Red Heart. With this team alone, expectations were already high from the start.

The production is also on a global scale. Filming took place in Japan, Italy (Siena and Perugia), and Canada (Alberta and Banff). This gives the drama a fresh, cinematic feel as the characters travel the world together.

The cast lineup adds even more excitement. Kim Seon-ho plays interpreter Ho Jin, while Go Youn Jung takes on the role of top actress Mu Hee.

They are joined by Sota Fukushi as a Japanese actor in a show within the drama. Choi Woo Sung as Mu Hee’s manager, and Lee Yi-dam as a sharp producer. Actress Hyunri will also make a special appearance.

The drama combines global filming locations, a strong cast, and the Hong Sisters’ signature blend of humor and heart. This gives you plenty of reasons to add “Can This Love Be Translated?” to your watchlist.

The series will be available exclusively on Netflix starting January 16.
