Kim Soo Hyun has filed another lawsuit against YouTuber Kim Se Ui, the operator of Garosero Research Institute. He was the YouTuber who first claimed he dated the late actress Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor in early March.

On Wednesday (April 30), his legal representatives, L.K.B. & Partners, released an official statement to announce additional legal action against Se Ui.

1. Gold Medalist and actor Kim Soo Hyun have filed an additional criminal complaint today against Kim Se Ui, the operator of the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute (Gaseyeon), for violating the Anti-Stalking Act.

2. As previously stated, Gold Medalist and Kim Soo Hyun had already filed a complaint on April 1, 2025, against Kim Se Ui for violating the Anti-Stalking Act. The reason was that Kim Se Ui’s ongoing and repeated spread of false information about Kim Soo Hyun was considered a form of stalking.

3. Based on this, the investigation authorities requested a court order on April 22, 2025, to make Kim Se Ui stop his stalking behavior toward Kim Soo Hyun. On April 23, the Seoul Central District Court accepted the request and issued a temporary restraining order against Kim Se Ui.

4. Despite receiving the court’s decision on April 24, which officially banned his actions, Kim Se Ui has ignored it and continued to spread false information about Kim Soo Hyun through his YouTube channel.

5. Ignoring a court order like this is itself a criminal offense under Article 20, Paragraph 2 of the Anti-Stalking Act and can lead to up to two years in prison or a fine of up to 20 million KRW. Gold Medalist and Kim Soo Hyun have therefore taken immediate legal action by filing an additional complaint.

This legal action comes after the Seoul Central District Court granted a temporary restraining order last Wednesday (April 23), prohibiting Kim Se Ui from any stalking behavior toward the actor. The court order was part of an initial anti-stalking lawsuit filed by Kim Soo Hyun on April 2.

The 37-year-old actor has taken legal action against YouTuber Kim Se Ui and the late actress Kim Sae Ron’s family (12 billion won damages lawsuit) for sharing private photos and videos without consent, including an image of him without pants. He has also accused them of spreading false information about an alleged underage relationship with the deceased.

After the controversy erupted, his upcoming Disney+ original “Knock Off” has been delayed, with the filming suspended indefinitely. As per reports, Kim Soo Hyun is currently embroiled in multiple lawsuits with advertisers, who are demanding the return of modeling fees.
