KORAIL Employee Accused of BTS’ RM Personal Data Leak Has Been Reportedly Reinstated

Back in March, a Korean Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) employee made headlines and received massive backlash for leaking BTS’ RM personal information.

The said KORAIL employee, Yoon, accessed and shared RM’s personal data multiple times.

On December 22, it was reported that the accused KORAIL employee had been reportedly reinstated.

This has caused quite a stir among fans and the public and they have been sharing their strong reactions to this news.

According to recent reports from Korean media, there’s been an update regarding an employee named Yoon from the Korea Railroad Corporation. Yoon had previously been fired for accessing BTS’ RM (Kim Namjoon) personal information without authorization.

However, after a retrial, it looks like Yoon has been reinstated. This decision was made by the Central Labor Relations Commission, as shared by Rep. of the Democratic Party of Korea, Kim Doo Hwan. They also ordered the payment of wages for the period of dismissal.

The Central Labor Committee took a close look at the situation surrounding Yoon’s dismissal. They mentioned that the decision seemed to be based more on RM’s popularity rather than Yoon’s actual misconduct.

They pointed out that it was unfair to fire Yoon, especially since the Korea Railroad Corporation hadn’t previously fired anyone for violating the Personal Information Protection Act.

Once word got out about the accused employee being reinstated, netizens were absolutely shocked. RM stans have been demanding the relevant authorities to take action against reinstatement.
