Kwon Hyun Bin will soon begin his military service. On October 24, his agency, Ghost Studio, announced that he will enlist in the Republic of Korea Marine Corps on November 24. After completing basic training, he will serve as an active-duty soldier to fulfill his mandatory military duty.

In an official statement, the agency shared that the enlistment ceremony will be private, attended only by soldiers and their families, and that no official fan or media events will take place.

Actor Kwon Hyun Bin will enlist in the Marine Corps Education and Training Unit on November 24th, undergo basic military training, and fulfill his military duty.

As the enlistment day is a private event with numerous military personnel and family members present, there will be no separate official ceremony. We ask for your understanding in this regard.

Ghost Studio thanked fans for their continued love and asked for support for Kwon until his safe return, saying

We sincerely thank you for the great love and support you have given to Kwon Hyun-bin. He will faithfully carry out his service duties and return as a more mature and healthy version of himself.

Kwon Hyun-bin has built a multifaceted career over the past decade. He first entered the entertainment world as a model under YG KPlus in 2015, praised for his tall frame and striking looks. In 2017, he joined Mnet’s survival show “Produce 101 Season 2,” where he finished in 22nd place. Later that year, he debuted as part of the project boy group JBJ.

After the group’s disbandment, Kwon transitioned into acting and solo music under the stage name VIINI. In 2019, he released his first mini-album, Dimension. His acting career also began to flourish around the same time, starting with his debut in MBC’s sitcom Borg Mom.

He has since appeared in several well-known dramas and films, including The Red Sleeve, Pandora: Beneath the Paradise, and Love Andante. In March 2024, Kwon signed with Ghost Studio, home to several respected actors.

Born in 1997, Kwon Hyun Bin’s enlistment comes at the usual age for South Korean men, but his decision to join the Marine Corps stands out. Known for its demanding physical and mental training, the Marines are often seen as one of the toughest branches of the military.

As he prepares to take this important step, fans are sending messages of love and support on social media.
