Kyung Jun and THE NEW SIX

THE NEW SIX is bidding farewell to one of its own as Kyung Jun announces his departure from the group.

The 22-year-old K-pop star will begin his mandatory military service soon and has no intention to return to the group afterward.

On October 23, P NATION announced the news of his departure in an official statement, stating, “KYUNG JUN recently informed us of his decision to enlist in the military and to leave THE NEW SIX upon completing his military service.

They have amicably terminated the mutual contract, stating, “After much deliberation, P NATION and KYUNG JUN have mutually agreed to terminate his exclusive contract.”

They added, “As of October 23, 2024, KYUNG JUN will be departing from THE NEW SIX.

Thorough discussions with TAE HUN, JUN HYEOK, HYUN SOO, SUNG JUN, and HWI have re-affirmed their solidarity towards THE NEW SIX.

We are sincerely grateful for the unwavering love and we kindly ask for your continued support for THE NEW SIX’s new beginnings.”

THE NEW SIX, formed through SBS’s ‘LOUD’ audition program in 2021, made its debut in May 2022.
