In the latest development in the ongoing HYBE-ADOR controversy, LE SSERAFIM’s agency, Source Music, has announced that it will be taking legal action against individuals responsible for defamatory comments targeting the group.
This move comes after LE SSERAFIM was unfairly entangled in the drama between HYBE and ADOR.
Previously, ADOR’s CEO Min Hee Jin allegedly accused TWS, RIIZE, BTS, and ILLIT of copying NewJeans. In a recent press conference held by her, she revealed that NewJeans was supposed to be the first girl group by HYBE, however, HYBE made LE SSERAFIM debut first.
On April 26, Source Music released a statement saying, “First of all, we deeply regret the recent situation in which other artists’ real names were mentioned without respect along with untrue content and rude expressions in public.”
The agency added, “As a result, many malicious posts and reckless speculations are occurring based on one-sided claims with inaccurate facts. We determine that malicious posts against LE SSERAFIM, such as reckless insults, the spread of false information, sexual harassment, malicious slander and ridicule, and defamation, is reaching a serious level.”
In response to Min Hee Jin’s claims, Source Music shared, “False claims that LE SSERAFIM caused damage to other artists and the act of forming public opinion by presenting false information.”
Lastly, they announced legal action to protect the group, “As artists’ personal rights are being seriously violated, we would like to reiterate that we plan to take strict action against malicious posts.”
On another note, LE SSERAFIM received negative feedback for their unstable live vocals at Coachella.
