Lee Jin Ho has recently made headlines after allegedly confessing to illegal gambling!

The 38-year-old comedian developed a gambling addiction in 2020 and has since borrowed money from several acquaintances and celebrities including BTS’ Jimin.

On October 14, he took to Instagram to confess to struggling with illegal online gambling since 2020. He admitted to accumulating insurmountable debt due to his gambling habit. Lee Jin Ho shared that the harsh advice from acquaintances and fear of losing his career helped him quit.

He apologized for disappointing fans and vowed to cooperate with police investigations, accepting consequences for his actions.

According to Ten Asia, Lee Jin Ho’s alleged borrowing spree involved several high-profile figures, including BTS’ Jimin, Young Tak, Ha Sung Woon, and Lee Soo Geun, as well as private loan sharks.

Reports state that Lee borrowed 100 million won from Jimin in 2022, claiming an urgent need, but failed to repay. He promised to pay 100 million KRW to the “Like Crazy” singer within 10 years.

He also allegedly solicited funds from industry professionals, PDs, writers, and celebrity connections.

Consequently, Lee Jin Ho faces legal action from fellow celebrities for fraud and seizure of appearance fees.

His absence from Netflix’s “Comedy Revenge” production conference has sparked concerns, amidst his illegal gambling allegations. The show premieres on October 15.

Additionally, his role on JTBC’s “Knowing Bros” hangs in the balance. SM C&C, his agency, announced plans to discuss future measures with producers.
