Ahn Bo Hyun and Lee Joo Bin are set to star in tvN’s newly announced drama Spring Fever.
On July 23, the production team confirmed casting and announced the Kdrama is scheduled to air in the second half of 2025.
Spring Fever is a comic romance based on a popular web novel of the same name. It tells the story of Yoon Bom, a teacher who shuts herself off emotionally and transfers to a rural school, and Seon Jae Gyu, an unpredictable man who pursues her without backing down.
The drama will be directed by Park Won Gook, known for his work on Marry My Husband and Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist. Kim Ah Jung wrote the script.
Ahn Bo Hyun takes on the role of Seon Jae Gyu, an outspoken character who stirs up the quiet town. Though his large frame and rough demeanor give a strong first impression, he is a sincere and honest character with a warm heart. Described as the “country bumpkin fatale,” Jae Gyu brings unexpected charm.
His previous works include Flex X Cop, Yumi’s Cells, and See You in My 19th Life. Ahn will show a different side of himself in the upcoming K-dramas, Marble of God and Haesi’s Shinru.
Lee Joo Bin plays Yoon Bom, a high school teacher who once enjoyed popularity and praise in Seoul. For unknown reasons, she leaves the city and transfers to a small rural school, where she becomes the center of attention among locals.
Lee Joo Bin showed her acting skills in Queen of Tears, Money Heist Korea: Joint Economic Zone, and The Divorce Insurance. She has three exciting K-dramas lined up, including Twelve, Spring Fever, and Guardians.
