Pachinko Season 1 remains #1 on Apple TV+ in Korea, according to FlixPatrol’s global streaming rankings, despite being released in March 2022.

Pachinko tells the story of a Korean family’s struggles and triumphs in Japan from the 1900s to the 1980s. Season 2 starts in 1945, during World War II, and follows Sunja (Kim Min Ha) as she tries to keep her family safe. The season also explores the lives of Solomon, a man starting fresh in 1989 Tokyo, and an older Sunja, who is concerned about her grandson’s well-being and future.

Previously, Apple TV has confirmed that Rosé’s version of Viva La Vida will be heard in both the season trailer and the last episode of Pachinko Season 2.

Pachinko Season 2 will consist of 8 episodes. The season premieres on August 23, with a new episode released every week on Apple TV+ until the finale on October 11.
