Who knew Kdrama heartthrob Lee Minho was a total BLINK!
On August 19, the leading cast of Pachinko Season 2 sat down for an interview with Access Hollywood.
When asked about Rosé’s cover of Coldplay’s Viva La Vida for the show’s trailer and finale, Lee Minho and Kim Minha raved about how much they love the song and her ‘magical voice.’
The 37-year-old actor admitted to being a fan of the BLACKPINK’s vocalist, saying, “Rosé is a singer with a voice that I have always liked, and when I heard that Rosé is going to cover ‘Viva La Vida’ for Pachinko, it was a pleasure for me, and I think her tone and singing really added depths and emotion to this trailer movie.”
Lee Minho added, “As a fan, I really enjoyed listening to the cover.”
Kim Minha also raved about her saying the cover was ‘beautifully done’ and her voice is magical.
Rosé cover of Viva La Vida will also be played in the finale of Pachinko season 2.
Season 2 of Pachinko begins in 1945 Osaka, in the midst of World War II, where Sunja (Kim Minha) must make perilous choices to safeguard her family’s survival. The season also jumps forward in time to 1989 Tokyo, where Solomon starts a new chapter in his life, and to the present day, where an aging Sunja anxiously worries about her grandson’s uncertain future.
Apple TV+ will premiere the second season of Pachinko on August 23, 2024, with a new episode released every week for 8 weeks, concluding on October 11, 2024.
