Lee Si Young is ending her eight-year marriage.
According to her agency, she has reached a mutual agreement with her husband to divorce.
On March 17, Ace Factory confirmed their divorce, stating, “The two are currently proceeding with divorce procedures after mutually agreeing to part ways amicably. As this is a personal matter for the actress, we apologize that we cannot respond to further inquiries.”
However, they refrained from commenting on the specific reasons for the divorce. Lee Si Young tied the knot with businessman Cho, who is nine years her senior, in September 2017. Cho gained attention for his successful management of multiple restaurant franchises. The couple had a son in January 2018, just a year after their wedding.
The “Boys Over Flowers” actress openly shared glimpses of her married life on various South Korean variety shows and social media. The couple has now decided to part ways after eight years of marriage.
Lee Si Young made her acting debut in 2008 in the iconic Kdrama “Boys Over Flowers” starring Lee Min Ho. He gained fame for her memorable roles in “Golden Cross”, “Liver or Die”, “Grid”, “Risky Romance”, “Lookout”, and more.
