SM Entertainment’s founder, Lee Soo Man, has decided to skip the company’s highly-anticipated 30th-anniversary concert
Despite being the mastermind behind the K-pop powerhouse, the former CEO has opted out of attending the milestone celebration.
To celebrate its 30th anniversary, SM Entertainment will host the ‘SMTOWN LIVE 2025’ concert at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome on January 11-12. This event will bring together artists from SM and its affiliated labels, as well as K-pop pioneers Tony An, Bada, and Hwanhee. They played a key role in shaping the company’s legacy and the genre as a whole.
Earlier in December 2024, SM Entertainment announced that they had invited former artists as well as founder and CEO, Lee Soo Man.
His team updated netizens about his appearance at the SMTOWN Live 2025 this weekend, stating, “Producer Lee Soo Man will not be attending 2025 SMTOWN Live. We found out through reports that Lee Soo-man was invited to the concert, and we confirmed that an invitation letter was sent to him via registered mail.”
The ‘SMTOWN LIVE 2025’ concert series will kick off in Seoul this weekend and then travel to Mexico City, Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo.
