Marriage rumors are swirling around Lim Ji Yeon and Lee Do Hyun after fans noticed a small but interesting detail on Instagram.
The speculation started when Lim Ji Yeon followed an account called @mrs.quokka_. The page describes itself as a wedding planner and dating account. It features an AI-generated quokka couple going through dating and wedding preparation stories. After fans saw the follow, many began wondering if the actress might be preparing for marriage.
Lim Ji Yeon, 35, and Lee Do Hyun, 30, first met while filming the Netflix hit drama The Glory in 2022. In the series, Lim played Park Yeon Jin, the main bully, while Lee played Joo Yeo Jeong, a doctor who helps the protagonist with her revenge. Although they did not share many scenes, they reportedly grew close during a workshop near the end of filming.
According to reports, Lee developed feelings first and approached Lim. At the time, she initially saw him as a younger colleague. Their relationship developed after filming ended. Cast and crew members were aware of their romance but kept it private at the request of director Ahn Gil Ho, who did not want dating news to affect the drama’s reception.
In April 2023, both agencies confirmed that the two were dating. They said the actors were getting to know each other with good feelings. Lim Jiyeon later joked that they decided to be open about the relationship because they kept getting caught meeting.
Their relationship faced a challenge when Lee Do Hyun enlisted for mandatory military service in August 2023 as a member of Air Force band. Even during his service, the couple stayed strong. In February 2024, Dispatch photographed them on a date at a Japanese restaurant during one of his breaks. The “Sweet Home” actor completed his military service in May 2025.
He is now preparing for his comeback project, the Netflix series Grand Galaxy Hotel, where he will star alongside Shin Si Ah. The drama is written by the talented Hong sisters and will likely air next year. Lim Ji Yeon, who was last seen with Squid Game fame Lee Jung Jae in “Nice To Not Meet You,” is also busy. She is set to appear in “Wicked World” with Heo Nam Jun, which is expected to be released in 2026.
As for the wedding rumors, opinions are divided. Some netizens believe the follow is meaningful, especially since the actress is almost 36, an age many consider common for marriage in Korea. Others think it could simply be the Instagram algorithm or an accidental follow. The account itself is not strictly a wedding business page and is followed by other celebrities as well.
So far, Lim Ji Yeon’s agency Artist Company and Lee Do Hyun’s agency Yue Hua Entertainment have not released any statement about marriage plans.
