Lim Young Woong to Debut as Actor in Short Film ‘In October’

As if breaking records on local music charts weren’t enough, Lim Young Woong has decided to venture into acting.

The highly anticipated short film In October, starring Lim Young Woong, is set to premiere tomorrow, July 6, at 12 PM on Coupang Play. 

The film tells the story of ‘Young-woong’, who finds himself alone in a post-apocalyptic world, accompanied only by his loyal friend ‘Si-wol’.

In October is a 31-minute short film that expands on Lim Young-woong’s popular music video Warmth, which has garnered over 6 million views. The film follows ‘Young-woong’ and his friend ‘Si-wol’ as they navigate a world ravaged by a mysterious infectious disease.

Renowned director Kwon Oh Jun, who has worked on projects with various artists including BTS and Dynamic Duo, led the direction and scenario for In October. The film also features Ahn Eun Jin as ‘Hee-yeon’ and Hyun Bong Sik as ‘Jun-ho’ in supporting roles.

Coupang Play is also offering ‘I’m Hero, The Movie’, a film version of Lim Young Woong’s encore concert, which took place at Gocheok Sky Dome in winter 2022.

Lastly, Lim Young Woong’s debut as an actor, In October, is set to release on Coupang Play at 12 PM on July 6, marking a new chapter in his career beyond singing.
